Modular Operating Theatre
Modular Operating Theatre
We provide a prefabricated modular wall system specifically designed for the interior furnishings of operating rooms. These walls are engineered to meet both medical and construction standards.
The prefabricated wall system allows for the integration of complex installations during the planning phase, accommodating various requirements such as air conditioning, heating, sanitation, high- and low-voltage power supply, electro-medical equipment, medical gases, as well as X-ray shielding and protection against noise and fire.
This modular wall system serves as a prefabricated operating room solution.
The modular design offers planners and architects complete flexibility in designing the building’s floor layout.
Our wall system can be easily modified to align with the latest advancements in operating room technology, requiring minimal structural changes even during operational use.
Combined with its long service life, this ensures the economic operation of the surgical units.
The interfaces with other construction trades are clearly defined in advance. This facilitates a significant reduction in the coordination workload in the operating room area through close collaboration with specialized planners.
General Information
The wall system for operating rooms and intensive care units is designed as a non-load-bearing interior wall. It is built as a modular framework system based on a 1200 mm grid.
The system meets the high demands of operating rooms, particularly in terms of installation and surface quality. The wall elements can be easily disassembled and reassembled.
Wall Specifications
Double-faced walls available in various thicknesses:
100 mm wall thickness = 60 mm installation space
150 mm wall thickness = 110 mm installation space
200 mm wall thickness = 160 mm installation space (for greater thickness, two single walls will be constructed)
Standard wall heights:
Operating rooms: 3000 mm
Ancillary rooms: 2700 mm
Corridors: 2400 mm
Noise Isolation
Double-paneled walls without mineral fiber wool: R’w = 44 dB
Double-paneled walls with mineral fiber wool: R’w = 56 dB
Fire Protection
The EMV wall system is constructed from non-combustible materials, and in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases.
X-ray Protection
Double-paneled walls provide a lead equivalent of 0.68 mm (100 kV), with the possibility for higher lead equivalents.
